I turn off the light in the room and walk over to the window
Which is like a shining contour behind the white curtains
For a second I let the darkness of the room float into my lungs
where it sticks like small pieces of nothing
Then I exhale
grasp the hasp and open the window
A cold wind fills the room and makes the curtains flap
while I'm taking a step back to sit down in the chair
which creakingly supports my weight
I can just faintly see the black shadows of the trees against the bluish black sky
"Like overgrown cauliflowers", I think to myself
It's cold
It's winter
It's strange, but I'm not cold
but nevertheless pull my legs up in the chair and my fingers grasp my toes
A sudden breath of air yanks me out of the slumber and makes me look up
A shining dot has appeared in the sky behind the violet clouds
Rigel
The star is soon followed by the remaining part of Orion
now hanging outside my window resembling more than anything a tumbling rectangle
It seems like the stars are dancing
A silent duet with the curtains
and I feel so infinitely small and tired
I reach out to catch the fire fly trails of the stars
but only manage to bleed onto the floor
On my shins the blood can faintly be seen like black blots on all the white
Amazed I observe these contrasts between darkness and light for a moment
before I once again look up
The stars are dancing
In a circle growing wilder and wilder they swirl amongst each other
drawing white lines after themselves
I just have to smile
They're coming closer and closer
hesitating for a moment at the windowsill
then filling my whole room with light
Rigel is floating in the middle of the room
The air is completely motionless
and as I still smiling close my eyes
The star grows larger and for a second fills my whole mind with a twinkling
before it's extinguished
