And so, I turn off the altar
and put some distance between myself and the unreal
in order to gather my thoughts
and think about the conquerors of fairytales
I bend over
and tie my blue sandals, the colour of the sky
and out of the corner of my eye
I see the sunbeams reflect in the round fittings of the suitcase
Two jumps and I move out of the darkness
and out into a world of differences
All that remains is the faint jingle of my bells
