"The Y2K problem will hit computers and coffee machines. The airports will be paralysed and all our money will disappear form the bank. We will no longer be able to use the phones and the cars will not be able to start". It has become everyday news to hear how we are all doomed come January 1st 2000, but maybe we haven't quite grasped the full extend of the problem. Maybe it not just the bank, but also the bowling ball that has a Y2K problem. Maybe the polar bears at the Zoo has just as big a risk of fatal breakdowns as the mainframe at Ikea. Who knows?
This was the somewhat surrealistic idea behind Jakob's series of cartoon drawings,
"Y2K problems". Every episode deals with another situation and it's
consequences - to bikers, campers and little green men. All designs are © Jakob Kramer. |
